1st Day Conference Notes

Dear all,

Did you missed the Day 1 of the Conference? You have no idea how much you have missed out. Looking forward to see you all tonight. I strongly encourage you to come and be blessed as this conference is POWERFUL. The presence of the Holy Spirit is so strong .. ask those who came !

Anyway, here are some notes that I've taken ...

Ephesians 5:18 - Don't be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit (NLT) Holy Spirit is what we have to experience every now and then and not just experienced it.

1 John 4: 4 - But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.

Swim in the Holy Spirit - let it over flow with you. e.g. You need to service your car every 5000 km (some car 10,000 km) and you cannot depend on old oil / service and expect your car to run smoothy. The same thing goes to the Holy Spirit - you cannot expect to be filled with the Holy Spirit in 2007 and expect the move of Holy Ghost within you in year 2008 - You need revival and need the new annointing and new oil.

Let's us move and live by the Holy Spirit. Refuse to be the parking lot of the Satan. Do not allow it as we are Son of God. Here, Pastor George shared that he refused to fall sick and let the Doctor to take his money because He is overflowed with the Holy Spirit and there is no room for those diseases to come closer.

When you are filled with the Holy Ghost, sometimes people will look at you like a fool. But tell them, You are not FOOL but You are FILLED. and You are FULL with the Holy Spirit!

Matt 5:16 - In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.

Many people thought Holy Spirit is like a dove moving around, but it is not. It is like a form of dove but it is not a dove. Holy Spirit is not something, it is SOMEONE. When talk about Holy Spirit, dont expect to see a bird moving, expect to see God in action.

Arise and Come out of slumber and Operate in a Higher Dimension.

We do not carry different spirit than Pastor George. Infact, we all have the same Holy Ghost, the only difference is the voltage.

How hungry are you to be filled with the Holy Spirit?

Receiving the call of God at a tender age, George Mukiriza hereafter joined the Miracle Bible College founded by Pastor Robert Kayanja, where he graduated with a diploma in discipleship and ministry. He again in his quest to learn more about the Word of God went ahead to achieve a diploma in Theology from the Voice of Deliverance Bible College, Dunlap, TN USA. He is a fully ordained minister at International Great Faith Center, who has been in active ministry for nearly a decade.

George Mukiriza is a young sought after conference speaker who has been a blessing to the nations through his life changing Catch the Fire Youth Gatherings, General Conferences, Radio and Television broadcasts. He has also written several books and published one entitled “The Work of the Holy Spirit Revealed” He is now the founder and president of the popular Catch the Fire Youth Mania Ministry and a pastor at International Great Faith Center. He is based in Kampala City, Uganda.

Testimony

Born into a poor polygamous family, George Mukiriza had very challenging years of formation. At only about four years old his dad who was addicted to alcohol abandoned the family and disappeared to an unknown destination. His mother was left helpless in a grass hut with George and five other siblings. The mother couldn’t afford education nor welfare for the children. To make matters worst, the mother who looked like the only little hope for the family got sick and was hospitalized for about six months. During this time, she sold her property in which the hut was located to pay for hospital bills. The children were left all alone. The oldest boy was only twelve years old. After six months their mother died leaving the children homeless.

In the meantime, George was plagued by parasites which was nick named in Africa as “gigers” The parasites dwelled in his body and fed on his blood. Then God brought help to George through a man called Mr. Bonny. Mr. Bonny decided to take care of George. He cared for George and provided medication so that he could be healed of the parasites infection. He also provided George education. George stayed with Mr. Bonny until he finished his primary education.

After primary school, George left to Kampala city to join secondary school where he met with the Lord Jesus. He received Christ and was born again and was called to ministry at a tender age. Immediately, after getting born again, he was evicted out of the house by his older step sister in Kampala. Her reason for chasing George out of the house was that she couldn’t live with a born again Christian.

This made George homeless again. Out of desperation, George slept in a toilet for about several days. Some times he would look for trees to sleep till the Lord opened up a church where he stayed for more than a year praying and fasting, seeking God to anoint him and change his life.
Thereafter, God visited him and anointed his life. The Pastor of the church invited George to lead in their prayer ministry. God blessed his ministry and this led George to pursue theological education. After he had finished his diploma, he was ordained as a Pastor in this church.

The Lord opened the door for George be involved in Missions work at Nairobi for about two years after which he returned back to Kampala with a vision to start “Catch the Fire” youth movement. The vision that the Lord placed in George’s heart was to mobilize youths to be passionate about Jesus Christ. God blessed this work and it expanded to different parts of Uganda. Many universities and colleges were visited by the Lord through this movement. At the moment, George is involved in youth programmes on a local Christian television called Top TV. He conducts youth programmes with the aim to influence them with Christian values. George’s ministry also expanded to the neighbouring countries. He has ministered in Kenya, Congo, Rwanda and Tanzania.

The Lord has now laid a burden for George to extend his ministry to the nations of the world. His call is to bring God’s Word in the Power of the Holy Spirit to the different nations of the world.
